Bio

Sarah Louden is an adjunct music theory instructor at Hofstra University in New York, where she teaches freshman and sophomore ear training courses. She is also a PhD candidate in music theory at the University at Buffalo SUNY. Her research interests include cross-modal perception, multimedia analysis, and music of the early avant-garde. Her dissertation is entitled, “A Neuro-Cognitive Approach to Cross-Domain Mapping in Multimedia.” She is one of the founding editors of the online journal Mosaic: Journal of Music Rearch. She holds a Masters in music theory from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a BM in music performance from Concordia College-Moorhead.
